Ethos
Core Tenets of JLV
I - Kindness
Treat others with kindness always. What is sown shall be reaped.
ii - quality
Provide a top-tier experience and high level of quality in both product and service every time.
iii - empathy
Be a patient guide to those who need guidance and a listening ear to those from whom you may learn.
iv - cheer
Enter into each new encounter with a cheerful spirit. Do not dwell on the negative, but choose to see the positive - not out of naïveté or ignorance, but of the belief that life is meant to be joyful.
Unflinching Realness
To truly experience this with you means not to look away from humanity.
Why a dove?
Peace. Doves have long been a symbol of peace. A dove returned to Noah with an olive branch signifying the flood was over a time of peace was coming.
Nostalgia. Perhaps hearing this bird’s unique call causes a wave of nostalgia to wash over you.
Freedom. Doves, as many birds, are an embodiment of freedom. Picking up and going where the wind takes you is a mindset that speaks to me. (if only birds were real)
Intentionality Over Everything.
Unlike most of the industry, I don’t base coverage on hours anymore, but on days. Whenever I’m there with you, I’m all in.
Every wedding collection I offer includes at least one entire day of coverage.

FAQ
Q: Do you shoot photos & video?
A: Yes, but not at the same time. In order to dedicate my full attention to creating the best final product, I shoot only photos or only video at a wedding.Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A: Absolutely! Travel is my bread and butter. I've traveled all over the country for weddings, including North and South Carolina, Tennessee, California, and Hawaii.Q: When can I expect to get my finished film or gallery back?
A: Typical turnaround times for weddings are 8-11 weeks after your wedding day.
Q: Have you shot at my venue before?
A: It's possible! I've shot at a wide variety of different venues all over the country - a mountainside in Hawaii, a river in West Virginia, and a Cathedral in California to name a few. I'm comfortable working in any condition or setting.Q: How does payment work?
A: A retainer of $200 will be due at the time of booking to secure your date(s), which will count toward the total cost. The full amount will be due within 30 days prior to your wedding day. Flexible payment plans are available to best fit your situation.Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes! If your venue requires me to send over my certificate of insurance, I am happy to provide that.
